The Association of India Manufacturers (AIM) has emphasized the necessity for District Magistrates (DMs) to preside over Udyog Bandhu meetings across all districts in Uttar Pradesh. This move aims to ensure the prompt resolution of issues faced by industrialists.
“District Magistrates need to preside over meetings of Udyog Bandhu in all districts. The government must ensure that DMs attend these meetings,” stated Manmohan Agarwal, AIM's national president.
AIM's vice president, Kulmani Gupta, a Noida-based industrialist, highlighted the challenges MSMEs face due to stringent tender conditions. He urged the state government to amend certain clauses in its tender process to facilitate MSME participation.
Furthermore, AIM's general secretary, Umesh Batra, raised concerns about the frequent tripping of power supply in industrial feeders across the state, urging the government to address this issue promptly.
The association also advocated for extending the provision of ₹5,000 stamp duty for land transfers within blood relations to include industrial land, a benefit currently limited to residential and agricultural lands.
Additionally, AIM highlighted the challenges faced by its national president, Manmohan Agarwal, in setting up an industrial unit in Kakori, Lucknow, despite obtaining necessary clearances, due to local administrative hurdles.
